DAPL protesters demonstrate in Fairview Cemetery

BISMARCK, ND - People protesting the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline are demonstrating at Fairview Cemetery in Bismarck.
They're drawing comparisons between the pipeline going through what they say is their ancestor's burial grounds to putting a pipeline through cemeteries.
The State Historical Society has said there are no burial grounds in the pipeline's route.
Police are diverting traffic away from the corner of Century Ave. and Nebraska Dr.

The costs of this $10 loan will land back on all of ND taxpayers, not Morton County. That debt would bankrupt Morton Cty, so the emergency order by Dalrymple now places that burden on everyone paying taxes in the state, minus those that are on the reservations. Which means, if no federal funds come to replace those costs then the cost will only continue to increase. Two dump trucks for the military can't be supplied in a 90's version of the truck; two brand new ones will be purchased and replace what was burned. Those don't cost $25,000 folks. The DOT digital highway sign was another 50k. Labor rates & overtime will be the greatest cost, which will be a few million more.

Now all those liberal Fargo folks can whine once again that all of this is costing them out of their pocketbooks the most. Darn...

seriously. obviously these people don't need to work. Cut the federal aid these reservations are getting and use it to recoup the costs our state is spending. If these people want to protest, fine, I'm all for protecting our rights, but the moment they became violent I can no longer support their right. They are now criminals and should be treated as such.

And for me personally it is now hitting close to home. My parents were at the casino last week. My dad, who has had a stroke, heart attack and double bypass surgery all within the last 10 months is still recovering, and very frail. As he was walking through the casino, he said "Hi" to a native. Just being friendly, he didn't know the person. The native cocked his arm back and was ready to punch my dad. Thank god a casino security happened to be standing there and stopped it from happening. This guy could have killed my dad(he is on all sorts of blood thinners) all for saying hi. The only thing I can assume is racism. Freaking ridiculous!!! These people need to go back to where they came from, cut the damn federal aid. They preach about being a sovereign nation, ok fine, then our rights and federal aid don't apply to you and you are trespassing. Oh, you want federal aid, then abide the law of the land, respect private land ownership and law enforcement, get a job and stop being a drain on society. ;:;rant

Right now the casino is FULL of people from all over the country, Native and nonnative alike. They have so many people just sitting around the lodge they've actually put signs up about loitering. They had to put covers on all the outlets because people sitting by them on their phones all day. The problem is they really haven't started enforcing anything. Its all talk. I heard they found a pile a shit in a hallway, checked security to see if it was a guest with a dog, nope, human! And its still nice out. Wait until below zero wind chills start. The tribal leadership is a joke. How this all blown up over a pipeline under the river, OMG is all I got. They should be protesting the rampant drug and alcohol abuse in Indian Country!! That's the gorilla in the room no one acknowledges.

Is it possible that his health and age are to the point where there is no return and he is just trying to enjoy what life he has left. You may be in the same situation when you get older and you can chose to live out your remaining days to their fullest and do what you enjoy or you can sit at home sulk about it.
