I'm not telling you how much i invested in oil when it was at $25.00 I did sell it at 50.00 and I invested in pot stocks and dvn with that money they are both doing very well.. There are better investments then oil. I personally can't see opec partners holding out very long on production to many countrys only have oil for there income.

I think so too, It's a feathers and steak industry and history has once again repeated itself. In my opinion the boom is over.

A while back I read about a big recovery discovery in the Wolf camp shale in Texas. Supposedly it's 3 times bigger than the bakken/three forks but only 5000'-8000' deep and IPs were about 1000 Bbs a day. Might be the reason OPEC decided it might be a good time to quit dicking around and make a move , Also might slow down ND drilling till the dust settles. I saw whiting just sold some ND holdings, Me thinks they are looking at a better bone to chew on. What does it costs to drill a bakken well these days ?

here's what i don't understand in all of this with opec...

now - 33,500,000 bpd X $40 = $1,340,000,000 per day...

then - 95.5% (4.5% cut) of 33,500,000 = 31,825,000 bpd x $45 (day 1 increase)= $1,432,125,000 per day...

this reflects only a $5 per bbl increase, and factors in no reduced production costs... they will sell less for more...

i know they have a very old culture over there, but you would think they could dust off an old abacus or something...

We will see if OPEC and Russia actually follows through with these cuts. They have historically not kept to their word on cuts so we will see what happens this time. In the past when they raise production they have been able to drive someone out of business that in turn lowers production. Their power is not as big with a competitive USA supply. I really don't see them giving up the critical market share quite yet.

It is unlawful and will continue to escalate. Those that facilitate and support these types of actions are terrorists IMO.

It is time for people to wake the hell up.
For those "supporters" from out of state (and even those in state) of the actions happening in Morton County, those that wish to "Stand with Standing Rock".......there are a few facts (within many) you need to understand. First and foremost is these people are NOT "water protectors" and "protesters" , they have become a mob in all definitions of the word.
They have engaged in acts of harassment and intimidation to people having NOTHING to do with the pipeline that are just trying to live and work in their everyday lives. They are eco terrorists, period.
They are engaging in acts breaking the law, burning and damaging private property, stealing hay and livestock and killing livestock owned by people trying to provide for their families.
While "protecting Mother Earth" they have burned vehicles and tires and left garbage blowing around in the wind leaving their waste and debris to pollute their Mother Earth.
While "protesting" "big oil" they have cashed royalty checks for oil wells and leases and cashed on in selling gas thru their convinience stores and using electricity created from fossil fuels they demand be left in the ground to light the slot machines and bright lights of their casinos.
They have repeatedly told the lie they are "unarmed" while one of them is now facing Federal charges for discharging a pistol when she was being arrested.
They have repeatedly posted false information and disingenuous claims on their websites and online.
WHY WOULD THEY HAVE TO LIE TO GAIN SUPPORT FOR A JUST CAUSE?
And the simple fact is these very law enforcement and emergency personal they are suing for doing their job in protecting the people of their county and this state are the very ones that will treat and rescue them from the vehicles they burn and bombs they build or from the storms and cold they will be caught in


For those veterans reportedly coming to support this "cause" know I truly, greatly appreciate your service and sacrifices you made in honor of this nation, but before you choose to tarnish that record of service with the support of lawlessness, lies and those harassing innocent families trying to make a living, stop and learn the facts and truth of what you think you are supporting.
The anarchy and mob action happening in our state is NOT predicated on protesting an unjust law or unconstitutional action nor a govt breaking their own rule of law. It is based on a difference of ideologies. And while your defense of these people's right, thru your military service, to have these differences of opinion and ideals is just and commendable and supported by many, your support of lawless actions and intimidation and harassment by this mob will certainly cloud over those ideals you swore an oath to protect and stand for.
It is time people learn the truth and fact behind what others are manipulating for their own purposes.
