That's not possible. 90% of our elected officials are Republican. That means they're all socially and fiscally conservative and time is not wasted on anything that might infringe on individual rights or grow government. I know it's true because it says so on the campaign fliers.

I will say, it's very interesting to watch what happens in a state with one party rule. All the democrats just run as "Republicans" and, save for a few examples, the people running as democrats are completely out to lunch.

It's not so much that they call themselves Republicans or Democrats, it's that they are so out of touch with the modern world that (most of) the rest of us live in.

When they show a shot of the ND Senate or House floor on TV, it's embarrassing.

His attitude changed quickly once he was on the ground and was crying like a little girl. The officers had a couple good quotes. As the asshat was mumbling about his hip being broken the officer said

" you need to grow up you have been disrespecting the land, our state, and us for 6 months"

Supposedly one of these clowns does have a hip injury supposedly according to the Governor. Probably had it broke before the arrest and was taunting them so he can sue the State.

Well, he IS an elected official. Optics are important when you have to ask people to vote for you. I don't love Laney, but I like him. There are a lot of jackwagon chief LEOs out there. I don't think he's one of them. Maybe I'm wrong?

I agree with you Bullsnake. I think too many people on here make comments that are offensive toward natives. To me, it looks like the people making problems are mostly not from Standing Rock. If I had to guess, most of the residents of Standing Rock don't like these hippies and want them to leave. There are some good people from there. My neighbors in Bismarck are from Standing Rock and made a good living for themselves. Their kids are some of the best behaved kids and are always welcomed in our house.
