The Lindell ice rig is the Cadillac of rattle reels, but the cheap ones work too. You will need a dedicated pot and pan that stays in there that you kinda wash with lake water between uses. If it has a forced air furnace you will need a good battery and a generator(I love my Honda 2000). A big buddy is nice to take the edge off when you start the furnace to help warm up all the material inside. A paper towel hanger is a must. I really enjoy spending nights on the ice.

Hole lights are neat, rod holders for when you don't want to f around with a rattle reel, TV/DVD combo to keep anyone interested that doesn't get the giggles when they hear a vexilar start spinning, deck of cards, paper plates/forks/knives, paper towels, TOILET PAPER,

I thought I were supposed to lean up against the neighborhood fish house door to take your shit. I've been doing it all wrong.

Was at the Hostfest Saturday, and they had leather chairs with footstools for $3500.00. I told my cousin for that price they better come with a good looking gal to sit on your lap. So my answer to your question would be lap/dancing girls with a nice chair thrown in!! :;:rockit:;:smokin

Keep these suggestions on a list, but I wouldn't do a damn thing to it just yet. Put it on the ice and fish in it for a while. Bring what you would have brought to catch fish before you had this house. You will figure out what you want and where you want it as you gain experience fishing in it. Shouldn't take more than two or three outings to narrow it down and put together a priority list. Nothing worse than spending time and money putting something into a house only to find out you hate what you did and wish you wouldn't have done it. Good Luck and enjoy your new toy!!!

Sounds like sound advice. Thinking you can never have too much stuff is incorrect. You need what you need and nothing more. Also, remember that every day you go you need to bring something a little different. One day it might be deer sausage, the next might be fixings to fry some fish. (One note on that fish idea, there have been days when I got pretty hungry before catching enough to eat.) or (just decided that I had stuff to do at home and left early.)

Leaving early is easier to digest than admitting I'm a poor fisherman.

I made hole sleeves by cutting off bottoms of five gallon buckets. They work great and are far cheaper than the commercially made ones. I also mounted a magnetic bar on the wall. Works great for holding pliers, etc handy but out of the way. Menards sells some lights about the size of hockey pucks that have magnets on the back and hook hangers. I put one over each hole.

Unless you already have spares, I would have a tow rope, shovel, jumper cables, portable battery charger stored somewhere in your mansion. I personally have 3-4 tow ropes and it still seems like I never have one in the vehicle I am in when I need one, pulling people out when they get stuck or if I get stuck.;:;banghead
