So what's everyones plans for the weekend.

For me gun season starts to tomorrow but don't have a lot of ambition this early on to go after them. My main line of thinking right now would be to go up to one of the Lakes North of town put out a small snow goose spread on a small flat island with full bodies and floaters in a few ducks and see if I can talk down some of the smaller groups that are migrating through all the while picking up random Ducks into the decoys. I always do tend ro enjoy hunts like that more


So what are your guys plan on this over fun weekend? .......Funny you stop to think we really don't make much to bitch about. Don't want to hunt that then go fish for that.....she not as good as she once was but she is still one of the best birds hunting spots in the world..

Fish fry with friends and a few cold ones on Saturday. We hold an informal cat league and hand out trophies, fry up cat, and talk war stories beside the campfire to signify the end of the season. And then a few more cold ones.

This looks worthwhile....however I'm very short on time so gonna cube up the cat into even sizes and deep fry in Shore Lunch - mostly original but a few 50/50 with cajun Shore Lunch. When I'm ready to play chef I'll give this a go. Not sure that catfish is "a lot drier" like he explains is best....

I go like this: Pat dry, roll in flour, dip in egg/milk, into gallon freezer bag with Shore Lunch......drop in fryer and Voilla!

Going to Sutton ND on Sat, visit my sister. She took over management of the Sutton Pub. Going to celebrate my birthday one day early. Watch the last half of NDSU Bison game and sleep. Sunday, chase a few pheasents in morn and watch Vikings and Phil in afternoon. Don't know who to cheer for so will play both sides of fence. Will be 68 at midnight. If I was a cat or dog they would of put me to sleep long time ago.:;:cheers
