Salmo Chubby Darter

Does anyone have any experience with the Salmo Chubby Darter? I used one for the first time this morning through the ice at lake Darling. The pike seem to love it. They wanted nothing to do with my smelt, or live bait while I was using the Salmo.

Got one of the hooks of a chubby darter stuck in my finger today (past the barb) after rustling with a pike. I then yanked it out of my hand with a pliers and screamed like a girl. First aid kits really do come in handy though!

Chubby Darters are one of my favorite baits to use. I don't catch a lot of pike on them but most the time I'm in 20 feet of water.

About how big a walleye you catch on a 5 or 6? I want to buy more sizes but I'm not sure what I should go with. I'm normally catching 12-20" walleye and 24-33" pike in the lake I fish.

I'm a big fan. They are usually my go to jigging lure. I usually use #4's or #5's. Hot Perch, Viking, and Orange Glow are the best producers for me, at least in years past.
