I got into the little boat fishing a couple years ago. I have a 17.5 Sylvan but I take my 14 Ft boat with the 9.9 out 90% of the time. Just something about that old school fishing with the little tiller that works for me. I've been chasing all the little lakes that I used to go to before I had the bigger boat and catching lots of fish. I do like the bigger boat for the bigger lakes or when its more than me and my lab going so wont be getting rid of it anytime soon. Everyone should have one of each.

Huh, could have sworn you had a picture for a while of a Ford pulling a newer Lund. What do you fish out of?

I am glad i bought a big glitter boat. Now I can drive it right next to people fishing while on plane. Also ripping up into a fishing hole doing mock ten in 6 feet of water with my 2 stroke is always impressive. Plus the free binoculars with purchase is nice.:;:stirthepot

OK, not to knock you guys with the multi million dollar sparkle boats, more power to you, but I have a 95 spectrum 18 foot with a 120 hp merc, one fish finder, and A couple of Flueger rods and reels, and I drag a ton of bottom bouncers with spinners and catch fish like a house afire. Hammered brass or Chartreuse and I'm good to go. Can I afford more? Yep. Do I need more?. Nope.
One time I rode my bike and it was cool.

The older lightning rods were great. But they all broke.

I used to fish with the lighting rods also. Berkley has free shipping on the lighting rods for orders over $25.00. Unfortunally they are out of the Medium/Light rods in the 6.6' length.;:;banghead

The boat doesn't catch fish, you do! You can catch as many fish in a canoe as the guy with the $70,000 ranger!

I have a very low end ranger in my garage. Directly behind it is a set of waders hanging on the wall. The complaining about what you have and don't have is getting old. I would love a big, sparkly windshield boat. It's not in the cards for a while...until I get my boy to ask mom for a bigger boat. Done deal. However, he will shore fish as well.

I have 2 lightning Ice rods I hope I never have to part with. The 32"? with casting style seat and a baby Calcutta is my favorite for everything larger than panfish/perch.

When you take you canoe out on Oahe in 20 plus let me know I want to video it.

When I was in the Bremerton Navy hospital we used to get a pass to go out once in a while. I had a buddy with a canoe and we used to fish Puget Sound with it. Kinda weird being wayyyyyyyy out in a canoe but we caught fish and had a great time.
