I have 3 snoopy rods tied up in the boat and that's all I use... one with BBer for spinners, one with a crank tied directly to the split ring, and one with an uncle josh pork skin. That's all you need to catch fishies boys...il_570xN.560313785_4ox3.jpg

sweet jeebus this ice needs to go away so you fkers can go fishing instead of arguing about stupid shit on here. I vote this perhaps the most pointless thread in the history of NDA

Not even even in the top 100. There's probably 10 threads more idiotic than this one on here right meow.

Trout guys are snobs. I'll give you that. Black Hills fly fishing guys are some of the snobbiest. They give you dirty looks when you sink a six pack in Rapid Creek to cool it down. Not my scene. That's why I stick to carp/bass/walleye/pike/musky

Kurtr, you should buy my lund. I'll even deliver it.

Maybe a few years back but now finishing the bath room and my new found addiction of elk hunting out west i dont use the pontoon enough as it is . If my wife has her way we will be getting a bigger toon next year so i dont see a boat in my future any time soon.

Could also argue that fly fishing can be the cheapest. A 5wt rod and a pair of waders can get you effectively fishing a lot of world class trout streams. I'm going on a week long trip to ID in June and i wont even spend $500, most of that will be gas money.

My first boat was a 14 ft aluminum, bench seat boat, with a 15 hp evinrude. I was a fagroan back then, and fished the red a ton, I would occasionally pull that bad ass rig to the close lakes on the Minnesota side, Lida quite a bit.

I had more fun in that $1,000 set up than I have now in the big bad ProV.

Seemed I enjoyed fishing more then, and cherish the memories of those days more. Nothing like pulling up a big 20lb cat on the Red river at about 11pm with 2 bottles of Off layered on your skin.

Bought my 12 foot Montgomery Ward (used) in Dickinson around 1984 or so.

Still have it. Still use it. (yesterday in fact)

Too bad trout suck, for a while I lived in Bozeman MT and all you can catch around there is damn trout. Even if cleaned immediately and cooked within a couple hours, they are barely palatable...

That trailer is 90% of the boats value...
Mine was just about the same way, but had a 30lb minnkota on the back too.

Which is why most trout and bass anglers catch and release.

It actually never had its own trailer until I found one for sale at Mills Fleet a couple years ago.

I hauled it "topper style" over the bed of my Ford step-side pickup for many years. It used to have a 4hp 2-stroke but that smell is too much for my old shnoz anymore.

It's still dry as a bone - no leaking rivets/seams - I suppose because I never ever let water sit in it and freeze.
