Unreal~

The 3,450-meter shot, which took about 10 seconds to reach its target, was independently verified by a video camera and other data, the source said.
The prior record was held by a British sniper, Craig Harrison, who in 2009 shot a Taliban gunner from 2,475 meters, or about a mile and a half, away during an operation in Afghanistan.

amazing is all I got.

Agreed. I just ran it through ballistic calculator with 750 grain Amax with 100 yd zero which resulted in 6,791 inches of drop or 565 ft still had 945 fps. The wind and mirage adds an immense amount of difficulty to the shot.

So the gun would almost be aimed at about a 30* or more angle I am guessing, like shooting at ducks, and hitting a rabbit.

Yah, it sure is amazing to make a shot like that.

It is tough because they are not shooting run of the mill bullets. I would guess they are shooting some kind of hand turned solids. I don't even know where to start with what velocity they even run in the .50. I would have liked to see the faces of the goat humpers when there buddy got sent to his 72 virgins.

Like my brother told me once after I picked off a flying blackbird with a 22 wheel gun. If you try it enough sooner or later your going to hit one. The next day I bagged a flying pigeon with the same gun. I looked at my brother and said "it was a might bigger" to easy.
