What do you guys use to hold your graph covers on while transporting? With my old ram mount I was able to lay it down on the counsel and never had to worry about it. With the Cisco mount I can’t do that anymore.

I found a pack of foot long mini bungee cords (maybe 9”?) at Menards or somewhere - run from one of the angle brackets, around front cover, to other bracket in back.

Have a couple spares kept on bracket-to-bracket in back and keep the main one there while fishing.

and a hurricane isn’t getting that cover off
I’m not a risk taker I want them tied down. I took a risk once and it turned out bad.

used these on my humminbird cover. Lowrance covers stick pretty well.
Are these big enough to fit around the whole cover?

I've been tight roping without a tether with my Lowrance stuff without an issue so far. Knock on wood.

I run one on the tiller boat as well. I push the mount down so it isn't taking direct wind, though.

Never been an issue or thought much about it, HDS 12 & HDS 9 behind a windshield and still have both covers, lucky I guess.

I'm a Velcro strap fan like DM but something that works really well is an inner tube cut into strips. When sized properly, it stretches around the FF with cover attached. Nice and secure. When you go to use it slip the inner tube band down around the Ram mount and you don't lose it.

seems like a job for some heavy duty rubber bands.
Even better. Regular rubber bands don't hold up as well as inner tubes due to sun, hot & cold in my experience. Just give the bands a good stretch every now and then and it will let you know if its at the end of its life.
