i am a moonshine shiver minnow fan summer and winter... i like that acme hyper rattle also... the hyper glide makes a huge mess unless you are hole hopping because it'll do a 10' circle on a big rip it seems... i also like the chubby darter, mostly because i yell "HERE COMES THE CHUBBY DARTER!" every time i pull it out

Old school Nils master baby jigging shad in chartreuse glow.

About 10 years ago, I heard they were being discontinued and I bought everyone I could find within 200 miles.

I think they are still in production but I haven't seen them anywhere since.

I have more jigging raps and rattling rap style lures than is healthy. I even bought some DH customs. I believe in all my time working them, I've caught two walleyes. Both came on URL on a feeding frenzy.

Otherwise I think they are good "call 'em in" lures as I seem to get lookers, but 99 percent of the time they'll swim over and grab my deadstick minnow.

When I start getting more marks, I'll switch to a standard buckshot spoon and then I'll get bit on the jigging stick and not just the deadstick.

This year I'm going to stock up on plain red hooks and splitshots. I have enough of the other stuff to last three lifetimes, and the prices of everything is ridiculous.

I've had some pretty good luck with the Northland Puppet minnows (bought a ton of them when I worked there in high school). The blue/silver has been good on Sak when I can't get them to bite on anything else. Smallest size tipped with a minnow tail on the back. Probably the closest bait I have that looks like a smelt?

Try Dakota Tackle in Bismarck, they had some there last winter, they seem to have lures no one else carries

Shhhhhh man don’t tell everyone about the secret lure! How are the lure companies going through sell products if they realize a hook and minnow will outfish anything else!

But seriously the biggest perch and walleyes I have ever caught were on a plain hook and split shot
