Drove I-94 from bismarck to little mogadishu(fargo) and back today. From about 20 east of Jamestown to about 20 miles west is the area with the least snow. Fields in this stretch were anywhere from 30-70% open with bean fields being
most open. From just before vc to fargo there is alot of snow yet as well as cleveland to about menoken fields are pretty well 100% snow covered. In my west-east transect definately looks like 281 corridor will open up first.

Seen a couple flocks of Canadians, think I might have heard some migrators flying over yesterday but couldn't find them. Still waiting to see my first flock in the fields up north here. Hopefully this weekend.

Drove from Rapid City to Pierre to Sioux Falls yesterday. Didn't see any snow geese (yes, I was driving during daylight). Drove from Sioux Falls to Fargo today. Saw 2 flocks of Canadas that had just a few snows mixed in.

Canadian pairs are starting to return to nesting grounds by the Canadian border, I saw the first pair last tuesday and two pair last evening. The only sign of spring snows have been snow flakes today but no accumulation.

Quite a few flocks around Jamestown today. Not huge groups but probably saw a thousand over all

Was on lake Audubon this weekend. Saw two small flocks heading north. Maybe 20-30 in each bunch. First ones that I have seen.

Wow they do exist. I have a feeling we're going to see a major bypass of the area from Kurt to Bismarck.

There are thousands of them in the SE part of ND. The Hankinson area has birds all over.

Snows are starting to show up now. My lab went from the picture window in living room to dinning room window in under 1/2 second during a fly over yesterday. Poor weiner dog had to combat roll to get out of the way.

If you hit a few of those sheet water spots at the right time i think a guy could turn them red but its going to have to be perfect timing

I've seen a few big flocks flying high going north today. This was south central ND right along the Mo. river. And I was only outside for maybe 10 minutes total 2 hours apart. They are on the move today!!
