Put in at fox made my way to state line just mostly getting it mapped out and trying to find some good spots. I see they are working on gun range and Hazelton is not good one side closed and it is really low, not going to be good if water keeps dropping. A lot of little fish not looking good need water temperature to drop to about 50 degrees and hope they start heading north don't look good.

Thanks for the update. I'm hoping to get out here soon - I have a 16ft boat on a roller trailer, so hopefully that helps with the launching a bit. Are there any usable accesses between Hazelton and Beaver Bay?

None on East side, west side is Fort rice and casino they are not usable the small boat is a plus alot of shallow areas and getting worse. Hazelton same way another foot down and that will be damn tuff if dont mind sticking prop in sand some. Fishing is bad. West side Grainer bottoms is good north of gun range, one a Fort Yates is not usable on west side. This spring was on fire crazy can hope with water temp drop maybe fish will move north

You ran from Fox Island ramp in Bismarck down to the SD state line?!? How long did that take?
Wanted to check my plotted trail plus check for any good spots to hit up. Had all day fished on way up and down. If I had good trail marked wide open 1.25 to 1.5 hours at 50 to 65 mph. Wide open don't have enough gas to get back would be close thou. Used kicker alot to search around when in spots. So shallow in areas hate sucking sand with big motor.

I've been out twice the last couple of weeks. It has been tough finding decent spots with low current and the right depth. Only one spot yielded any fish the first time out, and only a different spot yielded fish the second time out. The water temps were around 46-48 each time - do you think it'll get any better when water temps dip down lower?

I would like to hope so, but I'm afraid the low water has kept the walleye from migrating into this stretch of the Missouri. When I say "this stretch" I mean around Bismarck/Mandan, and north to the Tailrace. Fishing around Bismarck has been pretty dismal, and my few trips to the tailrace haven't been much better.

Correct no fish coming north with all current no place to take break, when they do all the junk fish are in same hole is really sad. State line south is good for big girls and little guys hard to find middle of road fish.
