Today the Canadian smoke IN BISMARCK and surrounding area is rated "UNHEALTHY"...

It's not safe to even be outside today! Hopefully Trump will get down on our corrupt neighbors to the North that have been mismanaging their forests and firefighting efforts. They are poisoning our air in the US for going on 3+ years and don't give it shit about the air pollution poisoning and killing our people. Trump needs to start imposing tariffs on everything coming out of Canada until they start actually fighting their fires and until they stop the starting of all these fires. Start hitting them with huge tariffs (Like 100-300% until these communists reduce their air pollution to acceptable levels and watch how fast these fires would go out! Seems these fires are started and left to burn to further the "Climate Change" agenda. This shit needs to stop!
Wasn’t that long ago everyone was bitchjng about them cutting too much lumber and ruining the prices here. Worlds warming whether you like it or not and that’s just one of the costs. It’ll likely get worse rather than better.

Maybe leave your memaws basement. Droughts happen its a normal process and with out winter and low snow totals it gets really dry compound that with a decade of low moisture and now we got fires. Im sure some thing like this happened hundreds of years ago.

Naaaa, no inventions needed, just huge tariffs on the Basturds contaminating our country by design.

So riddle me this, Lets say in wally's world the US places a 50% tariff on Canadian lumber for contaminating our country. Before the tariff the boards for my fence were $6 but now the same board will cost $8.50. Are you following along with my question so far ?

Exactly, we don't need their shitty whiskey either.

For some reason the dems think we can absolutely not make anything of our own, which might be true when 30% of working age men are on grannys couch, getting paid to post on the social justice pages.

I am sure for a short time there would be a supply demand thing that would increase prices but eventually they would ramp up production of U.S wood and it would come back down. Then maybe we wouldnt rely on another country for it?

Be very careful so that you don’t start sounding like Wally.

hmmm a lib would say except candian companies west fraser, tolko and canfor have bought the mills in the usa to combat this exact scenario so all u would do is get a few canadian workers laid off until the housing market makes it worth their while again if americans think the lumber business should be here maybe they should buy the land and build the mills n start one

i wont say none of that ill just believe that tariffs are actually supposed to fix problems and not just make us think hes trying to to fix problems

I'm still trying to figure out how the "no property tax" crowd has enough money to start saying now you can tax me.

Spent the afternoon mowing yard now I will spend the next couple hours with a cold wash cloth over my eyes. Maybe just one at a time so I can watch tv. LB
