I’ve mentioned many times I’m a Packers fan. I’m not saying the queens are going to trade him because I’m scared of him becoming Aikman or Elway in the future it’s just something they as an organization would do. I mean Darnold won what 14 games and they sent him to Seattle, where he won a Super Bowl, because he couldn’t win the “big games”. If they were invested in him at all, they would have signed Wentz like they did and ran it back. They muddied the waters with the Kyler Murray signing. I realize AZ is paying him the brunt he’s making this year but they didn’t add him to the qb room to be a backup, guaranteed. By all accounts Kyler went into the meetings with the teams he did with the understanding he wants playing time to put on tape to turn into a future deal to live up to his draft pick hype. As far as your ps question I would guess he’s not worth a heck of a lot in trade value but would probably be worth a mid-round pick to someone like Indy who is probably looking for a little insurance until Jones is fully healthy. I realize you’ll laugh and scoff at that because you feel like JJ is Tom Brady in a Justin Fields wrapper but we’ll all just have to wait and see on that. Either way my prediction or opinion is that Kyler starts the season as qb1 for the purple. It’s not worth much more than charmin to you I’m sure but it’s my guess.
I absolutely do not get where you thought I was saying you were scared of JJ becoming Elway or Aikman, I'm saying he deserves a chance like they did. The chance Jerry Glanville in Atlanta did not give Brett Favre and traded him to Green Bay after only one year. Glanville said he thought Favre was retarded. Now Favre is in the HOF and Glanville couldn't get another job after Atlanta fired him. I don't think JJ McCarthy is anyone but JJ McCarthy. He could be the biggest bust in Vikings history, but no one can say that after 10 starts. Give him four years, his first contract length, to prove he is not. Maybe plus one year because of the first year knee injury. In a 50 year drought, what difference is 5 more years?

Thinking its to avoid riding the pine and actually learning the game. He/they want a guaranteed starting job and it just isn't here. My opinion only. . .

If this is true, this only proves one important thing and that is jj is not the qb Minnesota needs, a spoiled punk who has had everything given to him on a silver platter because he could throw a pig skin.
It is not true. There is no IF. The fucking title has a question mark. They never talked to anyone, just all conjecture. Modern journalism is all a huge steaming pile of shit. Yet here it is, with comments already mentioning truth... Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaa...............................

This^^^

The rumors of "they didn't give Wentz $3 million to be QB3" is dumb. No matter how they eventually get numbered, the Vikings still only have just under $6 million in McCarthy, the $3 million in Wentz, and another $1.3 million in Murray.

That is a paltry $10.3 million invested in the QB room according to Sportrac. There's plenty of salary cap to keep all three players at that pricing. Not 100% sure on if this is the least in the NFL, but it surely has to be in the top 3 or 4 cheapest QB rooms in the NFL.

Now, whether McCarthy or Murray get butt hurt about not being the starter, that's a legitimate question. I'd bet none of these dreaming up shiite reporters have much hard info to work with on the topic. Just a lot of what-ifs.
