The rumors of "they didn't give Wentz $3 million to be QB3" are dumb. No matter how they eventually get numbered, the Vikings still only have just under $6 million in McCarthy, the $3 million in Wentz, and another $1.3 million in Murray.

That is a paltry $10.3 million invested in the QB room according to Sportrac. There's plenty of salary cap to keep all three players at that pricing. Not 100% sure on if this is the least in the NFL, but it surely has to be in the top 3 or 4 cheapest QB rooms in the NFL.

Now, whether McCarthy or Murray get butt hurt about not being the starter, that's a legitimate question. I'd bet none of these dreaming up shiite reporters have much hard info to work with on the topic. Just a lot of what-ifs.

I get Randall Cunningham was an MVP but Brett Farve had a better season and AD was better than Robert Smith.

Yep. Sure Darnold moved on and one a SB ring but I am convinced that had he stayed I don't think he would have been the link to SB for the Vikes. They would have probably won more games and sniffed the playoffs, as typical they would get bounced in the WC game. With the O-line in the state it is, lack of running game almost any QB is a sitting duck. Darnold probably added 3yrs to his life by leaving the Vikes
