Freezing frogs for bait

I kept frogs last winter. Filled a small tub with water add frogs and stick them in the fridge. Make sure the fridge is at 34-38°f and the frogs will hibernate. By the time you get them in a minnow bucket in the fish house the come out of their stupor and ready to be fished with. I had big plans for them last year and they didn't catch any fish.

For ice fishing I'd say hook through the nose and dead stick on bottom.

Big thing with that is they will not move much once back in the lake do to going back into there stuper. Best bet I can think of is setting them on the bottom under a tipup with pike in mind.
