I ignored camper a long time ago... I do have a fun idea though. I think it would be awesome to have a wall of shame that lists the members with the most active ignores applied to their account...

I don't spend too much time in the politics section.... just don't have time for it. that being said, not looking at the politics means I rarely ever see the crap that camper was trying to post anyways as he never actually posts in an outdoor related thread.....

Wouldn't break my heart 1 bit to see the politics section be limited to outdoor related politics, and a rule of "X" number of ignores or reports gets you a (insert duration here) ban.

If someone's goal is to just be a troll, then what purpose do they truly serve?

Admitting I haven't read much of Camper's stuff, I'm not a fan of taking someone off a site for expressing their opinion, even if it seems like crap. Like others said, block or just ignore and don't take the bait.

It's a fine line if you take someone off for voicing their opinion - that's the beauty of where we live I believe. I might disagree with him or agree with him, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to have an opinion.

I would venture to guess that if I met Camper when we come back up to NoDak, I bet he and I would get along just fine and even if politics would come up, I think we could discuss it like we used to 40-50 years ago. Everyone had their opinion and we would talk about it and we never once got to the point where we didn't like or even hated someone because of their opinion.
I will tell you this little story, when we moved down here to Payson in 2018 we met quite a few people that had Polaris General SxS's. One of them became (I thought) a pretty good friend. Well that was until he became obcessed with Trump TDS on steroids! He literally asked me if I voted for him and when I said I did he blew up and was ranting and raving and I just finally walked away rather than argue with the man. To this day he won't talk to me and that is fine but what a waste of time in our later years of life.
I really like this Forum and all the people that are on it. This Forum got me through some very tough times when my bride had lung cancer. We received many posts and also letters and gifts from many of you and let me tell you, to this day when my bride and I talk about it we both break out in tears!
I really don't think I could have gotten along without your kind and caring words.
Anyway I will end this as I am getting off track of this thread.

Are you serious about Lycans avatar.

We (Lycan, Frosty, and I) back in the fishing buddy days would change our avatar regularly to some bikini chick like I currently have, they then put a kibosh to it, as one of the then sensitive moderators was offended by hot chicks in bikini's, so Lycan changed his to the grotesque one he currently has. It was all in fun and games and still is.
If you think a huge, ugly, black woman as an avatar is somehow racist, or fat shaming, I guess it must be.
