At the age of 73 I have only applied for a muzzy tag the last several years. As a result, I find great satisfaction in spending evenings in an elevated blind and simply watching wildlife interact. Life is good in that blind as the sun sets!

I'm pretty lucky , my house is my blind. This morning when it was just breaking daylight I watched one doe walk in the yard and she was looking back then 3 more came in behind her nothing unusual or exciting but it wasn't long and a buck with his nose to the ground came in and the does trotted away . He followed them for a ways and lost interest and they parted ways. I'm guessing he is bedded down within 100 yards from me. At first it was still too dark to get a good look but turned out to be a decent one. Based on that the bucks are snooping and following but not chasing yet. I should get ready for next time I guess but I don't get excited about hunting like I used to.
