At the age of 73 I have only applied for a muzzy tag the last several years. As a result, I find great satisfaction in spending evenings in an elevated blind and simply watching wildlife interact. Life is good in that blind as the sun sets!
You could yes.for sure. To tag you cut a slit between the two bones on the lower back leg and locked it onto the bigger bone. Maybe on bucks it locked onto the antlers, I don't remember.
I'm pretty lucky , my house is my blind. This morning when it was just breaking daylight I watched one doe walk in the yard and she was looking back then 3 more came in behind her nothing unusual or exciting but it wasn't long and a buck with his nose to the ground came in and the does trotted away . He followed them for a ways and lost interest and they parted ways. I'm guessing he is bedded down within 100 yards from me. At first it was still too dark to get a good look but turned out to be a decent one. Based on that the bucks are snooping and following but not chasing yet. I should get ready for next time I guess but I don't get excited about hunting like I used to.At the age of 73 I have only applied for a muzzy tag the last several years.
