ooohh mmy...you trying to start something with that statement, I hope you got big enuff balls that can take being kicked in more than twice....:;:muahaha

Oh ya i can take it thats why these interwebs are so much fun:cool:

The SD is where it's at. There are some counties that usually have left over triple doe tags.
My brother, a buddy and I piled up 9 in one day last year.

No more triple tags this year they cut way back. Single tags for me in both dewey west river and walworth east. Any deer out west and any white tail on the east side so i am more than happy with my allotment of tags. Plus they ended the doe only season if you have an any deer tag. Now only antlerless tags work during that week.

Bogey, just looked up the stats from the February ND Outdoors magazine. 8 points was the most anybody that was in the drawing had. So 9 years without a tag. You must have missed applying for 2 years to have not drawn a tag yet. That's not the gnf's fault.

I will have to go through my records. The last time I had a 1st choice tag was 2003. Not saying I didn't make a mistake, because I sure could have. Or maybe my memory is serving me wrong at the moment.

I can't believe we're less than a month out from rifle opener and no chatter! Is everyone ill??

Let's break down what we should talk about in this thread, just to get the juices flowing:

  • Too many/few gun licenses
  • Need to/not limit archery tags
  • Many/few deer in (state your zone)
  • North Dakota hunters are lazy/efficient
  • The incompetence/competence of G&F
  • Weather, cover, or lack thereof
  • The cancer on society (a.k.a. folks who pulled a antlered rife, muzzie AND archery tags this year) ;:;banghead
  • Why UND fans are superior hunters to NDSU fans :::
  • Preferred adult beverage of choice POST-hunt (not :;:)
  • Photos of past hunt successes/failures to get us through these weeks before opener

And GO!!
there's no talk cuz nobody has a license

I don't know Guy, I haven't been able to find it since I accessed the base in 2011. I know it wasn't cheap! I kept them in business whenever I was deployed to a non-shiite hole.

The .243 Win is a varmint round and the .284 launched from all cases is superior to any variation of .308.

I hunt with four other guys, and for the first time since 2002 we all pulled rifle tags...and not a single one was buck. No big deal, I just know we'll see a ton of bucks this year now. Murphy's Law.

I did grab a bow tag just in case some Slobasaurus Rex meanders past my spot after the skinhead tag is filled.

Sounds like B.S. to me Bogey. Ur gonna need some proof to get people to believe u have been denied 12 yrs straight for a resident gun tag in Kodak. Never heard such a thing!

Sorry, Nodak

non resident muley rifle tags take far beyond 8 points.

Went down to the range last week and shot my best group from a center fire rifle ever. Ready for the woods.

First time I've headed to the field with a rifle tag and NOT sighted in beforehand. Hopefully the ol' Remington is still zeroed since Rifle Opener 2013! If I remember correctly, it was about a half inch off the left ventricle of the buck that got a free ride home in the bed of my truck.
