On a serious note, got a free sample of E&J peach brandy in the store the other day. That shi'ite would be quite dangerous. I don't want to imagine the next morning.

At home I'd go with a good bourbon, but a flask I've recently got hooked on Honey Jack. It's so smooth it's dangerous.

I just found this vodka and love it with a splash of lime juice in it. I like the new Vanilla Blue chair bay rum as well as cognacs, E&J extra smooth brandy, and a lot of Jamaican rums but partial to Appleton estates on the rocks. Some tequilas are very good too, partial to Mezcal, I like the smoke flavor it has.

Just got done packing for a hunt actually. Surely you can see my drink of choice. There is also a bottle of bourbon buried in there somewhere. But the Lag is king!!

Is Lag a lowland "peaty" scotch? A buddy has a bottle of Laphroaig (SP?) lowland scotch and it tastes like sweat aged in railroad-tie creosote infused barrels.

They are both Islay's, where the peat comes from....But Lagavulin is the top dog when it comes to the Islay's and the difference between the two would be like rubbing alcohol vs Grey Goose (IMO). Laphroig gets good praise, but I think it's shit compared to Lagavulin 16. I do like the peat though. Got a bottle of Ardbeg too (another Islay) and again it's no comparison. Been trying to find something I like as much as the Lag but cheaper, so far I have failed.

Not that long ago they were $80/bottle, now they are $95-120. Just like the yuppie bourbon bandwagon, scotch has taken the same path.

I've never priced it, this is always what I've figured for the "good" stuff.
