They were getting in my camper this year something fierce. Wish I knew how to keep them out.

I had that happen once too. I had no problem until they found my high sugar content apples. They like the Honeycrisp much better than Fireside or Col. Red. I'm going to have to spray those two apples trees a half dozen times each next summer. I also bought a half dozen fake apples that you spread tanglefoot on. Let them try lay eggs on those. Supposedly they have the perfect color to attract the little buggers.

Brian did my bees. Good work. Good price. I made a post on the old site about these little effers. I called em something like spotted shivering nook and cranny flies. They find any nook and cranny they can get into and survive very very cold temperatures by huddleing in small groups and can often be seen shivering

I had like 3 seasons of vermin in my old house. Those spotted lady bug things, the flies mentioned above and the fall rush of mice. I was single at the time so the mice gave me something to do. I usually had to eliminate about 20 before the trap lines dried up. I could never figure out where they came in. The new house has nothing, which makes me happy.

I get these little btards bad in my house. I have log house with very large southern facing windows. Fruit trees in the yard. On sunny fall and winter days it's not uncommon for my living room to get 80 degrees or more. That's when they come to life. Here's what I use. I just happen to have a can in front of me. It's labeled for use in:food service and preparation areas, food processing plants, restaurants, clubs, supermarkets, bottling plants, warehouses, buildings, factories, offices, laboratories, lavatories, ships, planes (cargo areas), hotels, motels, kennels, farms, barns, homes, schools, day-care centers, funeral homes, dairies, milk and egg handling areas.

Do not use in aircraft cabins.

Works great, but I don't sit around inhaling it. Just a shot and leave the room. The can is made for those auto dispersing holders.

spotted flies - I've lived in ND since 1971 and I have no idea what we're talking about

we get the "blue bottle" flies (loudest freaking fly known to man) waking up in winter - but spotted?

BTW Royce loves to eat plain black houseflies but won't even go near a blue bottle

I was in a lady's trailer house in Valley City about 14 years ago, renewing her disability insurance policies. She had 100 million flies in that shitty old trailer house, stunk to beat hell too, this was in January, when shit flies should not be prevalent. Her, 5 kids, and some dead beat boyfriend living in this filth. I reported it to my manager, not sure if he called social service or not, but God did I feel bad for them kids. Not their fault mom was an absolute loser. It about brings a tear to my eye just talking about it. How can someone just give up on life like that.

They also had a dead bird still in the cage sitting on the homemade lean-to entryway.

Anyway I am sure flies in the winter time can happen, but it reminds me of this skank.
