Knights lodge in riverdale. Although my wife has sworn off spending money there since our wedding reception, I'll still stop in.

Was your wife's reason the dude that runs it looks like a 70's porn star and is kind of a prick?

Haha. That might have been part of it. I think the list of things would take me a week to type out. Biggest thing was the language barrier. Apparently there isn't a translation for "reservation" to russian. They screwed up so many of them that a lot of our guests ended up staying at my parents house 50 miles away. They also assured us that their new rooms would be ready. I drove by a year later and they were still working on them. Food was $2 more per plate than we were quoted. It doesn't sound like a lot but we had nearly 500 RSVP. Those might be the big ones. I've never seen my wife use her horn, flip anyone off, or yell at someone out of pure anger. She had a nasty phone call followed up by a five page letter sent their way.

I want to fish a spot and hammer them. No reason to screw around on stupid lakes.

If DL is chosen....and here is a chamber of commerce speech..hahahhahaha
I could certainly help be the lead on helping get this set up along with any other local NDA yahoo's. If held here the hard core fisherpersons could run and gun around the lake in the morning and late afternoon and for others have a tip up festival from 11-2 for NDA er's to meet and greet at a undisclosed special location on the lake. After the fishing is done we could venture to a local pub for prizes and story telling and enjoy some more refreshments. The local bowling alley in town has a nice large bar that isn't very active at nite so that might be a nice area to have a get together. Those of you yahoo's who have wild game who wish to share and brag about, this might be a good opportunity for you to bring there..hahahaha whatever is decided sounds like a nice time. Just thought I would volunteer for events if it were held in DL.
Carry On..haha

Sounds like Ron Jeremy minus 10 inches was in top form.

One problem with big venues like dl is there gets to be too many options for fishing and gathering places. But, I've got a few ideas in mind I guess. Would need to decide how high on the priority list fishing is first.

After some thought and all things being equal, I think the area south of pops offers the best all around solution. All three species can be caught throughout the day with minimal moving and tip ups are an option if you are inclined. it's less than a mile from town but there are no houses around. It's also within spitting distance of most hotels and a couple of bars with minimal travel on any major roads. And it offers easy access for pulling out permanent ice houses. Fishing ain't gonna be as good as the northern lakes. But, it's relatively decent and not 30 minutes from amenities.

I just want to leave in the morning and show up to the weigh in with a bunch of pigs. Well, if they cooperate.

We know what you want captain. But, we aren't all walleyes whisperers. Nor do we have every inch of the lake bed from silver to mikes mapped with our structure scan. ;)

If I lived in Devils, I would be divorced. I don't have those maps.

I would be a 5,000 hour a year without a doubt. Instead, I just scratch at it here and there.
