You know if you watch the video it helps.

watched closely a second time. No dodge.

Apparently closely must be a relative term! Go back this time and watch it specifically at the point of one minute and 44 seconds. They show the crash three times from three different angles and he actually stands there and points out the damage on the truck after the crash for a fourth look.

followed your directions precisely dean. paused at 1 min. 44 sec., studied the frame for some time, as far as I can tell, there are ZERO dodge pickups in that frame.

They are squabbling over Dodge vs Ram. The is no such thing as a Dodge pickup any more. Ram is owned by Chrysler which also owns Dodge........... Semantics..

Thumbs Up

"Kvalvog previously told The Forum that his son's 2010 Dodge Ram would have been part of a July recall of thousands of Fiat Chrysler cars due to a steering defect. The family has its own investigators looking into the cause of the crash, according to court records."

Has anything happened on this year?

One kid. One kid on way. Hunt and fish. Stuff to load, stuff to unload. Looked around the country and nobody cuts it like the Dodge Mega. So yes, I am looking for a Dodge.

Safety tests are important but I sure haven't seen ravaging news releases of dismembered drivers. Besides, if Ford is given ample time (from 2015 tests) to better themselves then I allow the same grace period for other manufacturers.

Just something to consider, Super Duty cab is 6" wider which becomes an asset when you put 2 kiddo seats in the back and still want an adult back there too. That extra width also allows for 1 kiddo seat and 2 full sized adults to be comfy in the back seat.

Just a quick history lesson, 2010 was the year that "Dodge Ram" was moved to its own division called "Ram trucks" so now referred to as just "Ram" as posted above. I have an early 2009 built 2010 1500 Hemi that is still a Dodge ram.
The Dodge brand is just for awesome cars now like Chargers and Challengers.Thumbs Up

I haul 3 kids, a wife, myself, a dog or two and all our crap in a 1/2 ton crew. The key is having an old man topper with flip up side windows.

Here is my early 2010 "Dodge" Ram 1500. It does earn its keep when needed. I also have an 05 2500 Cummins for the heavy stuff.Thumbs Up
I think the Ranch hand bumper would alter the results of the crash test a bit though.;)

The last 2 Chrysler products I have had required me to repair them weekly and that cured me... I can attest to the daily repairs getting expensive... I saved money when I got a 2010 f250 6.4 and have put over 115k miles on it in 6 years with only 2 real repairs... The idler pulley tensioner broke and water hoses leaked

You know what they say about a Dodge? Once you own one you always own one. Only way to get rid of, trade for another Dodge.

I was totally opposite. I was born raised and dead set on GM until Dodge came out with the new body style in 1994 had to have one, all of my friends had Dodges in High school with minimal issues old 60 through 80's era. I worked on my GM rigs non stop and got sick of it, sold them all and bought a brand new 1995 1500 Dodge and have had several since, use them abuse them and nothing but normal maintenance.
I will never own a Ford, Have tried 2 times both left me sitting along the road as have several of my friends fords. Not saying anything bad about any of them just reflecting my life experience.
Bought a 1995 Dodge Neon brand new and sold it with 310K miles on it and saw it running around Bismarck for about another 2 years.
Just sold an 03 VW Jetta TDI with 285K miles a year ago on it and it is still running around Bismarck just saw it this weekend.

i've been looking for a truck manufacturer that doesn't need a service dept for 30 years... there isn't 1, they all break...

curious to me how the rams can b the motor trend truck of the year in 14-15? and now they are dangerous...

in the past 10 years, we've had 6, including 1/2, 3/4, and a 1 ton, in big horn, laramie, and laramie limited trims, with 5.7, 6.4, and 6.7 cummins... no real problems with any of them...

fwiw, anyone shopping for a high end truck, without a bias toward another brand, should drive a laramie limited... nicest trucks ever made in my opinion...

'Cause they bought enough advertising in '14-'15.

Ram isn't Dodge. Nor is it Chrysler. Ram is Fiat.

Driving a dodge does something to a guy, it's not really a neat thing.
I can drive any pickup out there, but one, have had several ford's in a row now. But I could never own a dodge, it turns a guy frickin goofy. Defensive, arrogant, even maybe bullyish about the superiority of the god damn shit wagons. ..haha
