    Archery Mule Deer

Some good info on here. I will throw in my two cents. I grew up in southeast MT and rifle hunted mule deer in my teens and early twenties. In my early thirties I lived in Bowman, ND and started bow hunting. Early season mule deer can be very difficult. Summer herds with many eyes. It can...

    I inherited some old ammo

Thanks for the advice fellas. I did get the short end of the stick. I don't know where said 30-30 is due to my father in law passing away. I'd definitely ask him where the gun is if I could. Although a classic rifle by any standard I'm not really looking to buy a 30-30. I do have a marlin...

    I inherited some old ammo

Hi everyone. I inherited some old 30-30 ammo from my father in law. The tips are corroded and the brass is beat up. I don't have a 30-30 and I don't think this ammo is usable. I'd like to just get rid of it. Any suggestions. I'm in the Williston area. Thanks for your help.

    Megakota??

I say we go East and West Dakota. The western parts of the two are by far the best.

    Coyote success rate

I haven't called a coyote in 2 years. There are many other tactics I use but calling isn't one of them. January can be tough but some good night vision can help with that. Like others said hunting season does affect them and getting them at night can really up your success percentage. Bait...

    The 224

Sorry I guess I should have added valkyrie on the end of 224. Supposedly it has a higher BC than a 6.5 and the recoil of a 223 rem. Also supersonic to 1300yds. It is being offered in the AR platform but that's about all I know.

    The 224

I haven't very much info on the 224 caliber but from what I have found it's a very interesting round. Does anybody have any info on it? I am leaning towards getting one when they become available.

    Pull the permanent?

Ice fishing in southwest ND might be over for the year. Heard of a couple of heves from heavy ice due to lots of snow then a bunch of water running in on top of the ice. Heard that lake water was running up out of the ice. That's ok. The prairie dogs are out!:;:muahaha

    Hanging trail cameras

When do you guys/gals start putting your trail cameras up? Is it to early to do it in the next week or two?

    The SPAWN!

The water was getting close to warm enough here in southwest ND but the recent cold mornings didn't help the cause. Wondering if anyone is killin any fish yet. Just finding them has been tough down here. I don't expect anyone to give up their killing grounds but just like to know if people...

    Some bad ice

It appears the ice fishing season is over in southwest ND. Ice opening up in a few spots and high temps for the last two weeks haven't helped. Looks like a 50 degree day for Wednesday and a very warm outlook for weather. Haven't heard of anyone going through anywhere but the ice is scary for...

What broadheads will you be using this season?

I've had really good luck with G5 T3's. I been really fortunate to take four deer spot and stock style with the T3's. I know some guys have tried them and hated them, guess I've been lucky.
