Signed up for Mid AI the other day and have been having some fun with it. Essentially what you do is describe what you want it to make, as detailed as you want, and it will produce 4 pictures that are all different, but that it feels meet the criteria. If you dont like them, you can generate 4 more, or refine your definition and start over. If you find one picture you like, you can select that and enhance it, or generate 4 more pictures using that as a general template, but all different in slight ways. Its kinda amazing and fun to play with!!! Here are some examples of pictures I created...

no, but its not too expensive, you essentially pay for processing hours, the more complicated your request, the more time it takes to generate the pictures for you. When you run out of hours you can buy more or be done for the month. The cheapest plan is $10 / month and you get 3 hours of photo generation with it.

no, you pay up front, and get "minutes", like having a pre paid debit card. you only lose minutes when your pictures are being generated. you can take a much time as you want typing out the description of what you want, after you hit enter it starts generating. it's pretty cool, the only talent you really need is a good imagination and decent verbal skills and some computer ability.

well TECHNICALLY they arent mine per se, I imagined them, but all pictures created on that platform can be viewed and used by anyone with access to it, they are considered shared property, so no one can claim 'ownership', except maybe midjourney itself. I did prompt their generation, and they didnt exist until I asked it to make them.

I'm curious what descriptors you used to create that avatar?

I checked it out last night and found google has a free program something like that. I made 4 pictures just to figure it out, I got a kick out of it. I also stumbled on to an AI book/story writing app that works the same way. My grandson uses a similar program for 3-D printing where they build something on the program and it is then released to anyone who wants to use it.
