Have got a couple on the ash tray bulling cranks or bottom bouncers but nothing that big. Congrats to the young guy

I would 100% mount that thing! Awesome catch. Bullheads are good eating just a pain to clean and there fins taste like tator chips

Good for him, a record is a record regardless. Have caught some very big bulls in the sheyenne over the years but never a 4lber. I'd put it on the wall

Agreed LB,me to,cold spring water canned corn or worm both work.
To clean we youngens were taught nail the bullhead head to a board,cut the skin around the head behind gills and stinger,pliers to pull the skin off towards the tail,nice meaty loins no bones,corn meal hot oil bath brewskis, good to go.

I didnt know there were bullheads in dvl.
Same here. Fished it religiously growing up. Never seen or heard of one being caught. I suppose some of those brackish bays towards ft Totten area would be ideal for bullhead. I wonder if any channel cats get caught in DL? Youd think they’d do pretty well in that lake.
