Hunt morning go eat hunt evening and Friday should be really good if the snow comes. I only have a 10 minute drive to the field

It was still open yesterday. It's 5 degrees right now. From my deck I see steam, not sure if it skinned over or is in the process. It usually skins over a few times before it sticks.

Still wide open down here lots of ducks and geese around now. It’s amazing how birds with peas size brains out smart humans they kick our ass yesterday haha.

It is froze over at Yates! I'm guessing it was frozen when I typed yesterday but not 100%. So it was down in the single digits Sunday and today while froze. I glassed south of Yates and thought I could see steam/Fog....so it could be open in Stateline area.

I like this chart as it takes into account the ice already there. According to this chart after tonight we should have 4 inches at least.

I was at Beaver Bay again yesterday, 12/15/25 and this is the one south of Bismarck. 9" to 10" of ice but it seems cloudy type of ice. There was a golf cart cruising around and a 4 wheeler dragging a hard shell hunting blind on skids. They had ventured way out towards the main channel. I'm not quite ready to go that far. Fishing was slow, one smaller pike, one walleye and one perch for an afternoon of fishing. Good luck to all and be safe.
