There’s more of the story. the two DNR guys had it out for Hoffman just by how excited the second one got when he realized who it was. Even after they knew they had fucked up they doubled down and still tried to prosecute. Muting their body cameras to me shows conspiracy to intentionally violate his rights, these guys should be personally sued in the poverty.

I wonder why they had it "out" for Hoffman. It's good to ID fucked up LE. It's good to ID and stir more hatred for LE with vids of LE fucktards.

Notice: Hoffman didn't resist or get shot.

LE is fun all around. Shift supervisors probably wanted them burned as overhead was afraid of optics. IME; the higher the pay the higher the Democrat.

That is all.

I've never understood why spotlighting is illegal. As long as you don't shoot something why is it illegal to look at wildlife at night? Makes zero sense.
Some people simply can't resist temptation. We would be shocked how many big bucks are shot just to see if the poachers can hit them.

I agree but why should spotlighting be illegal if nothing is shot? What harm is done by shining a light on a deer at night? Do we arrest people for thinking about doing something now?

I don't think it is UNLESS you have a gun with you. But still, at night you may not know what the hell it is out there. I'd guess if ever challenged by the SCOTUS or even a State SC, it be declared unconstitutional.

They intentionally and criminally tried to ruin this guys and didn't care, hell they even got a woody out of doing it. How many other guys have these two pieces of shit pulled the same garbage on ?

"Would you tow the truck?"
"So, he just bought that truck and it would be nice to put that sucker on a rollback, but it's up to you"
"This is like once in a career"
"Yeah, this is great, dude this is absolutely great"

if spotlighting is illegal even if you dont shoot them, should you be required to dim your headlights or turn them off if a deer is in the road at night?

In the video posted, he didn't even use a spotlight. He stopped and looked at it with his binoculars. Apparently, in that state, it's illegal to stop and use your headlights to look at a deer if there's a gun in the truck. The wardens even admit that they couldn't be sure he turned to use his headlights to look at it. He'll make some money on the lawsuit. It sure sounds like they put that deer where they knew he'd at least put some light on it so they could arrest him.

A friend was driving from a wedding to the after-party somewhere in the country….got lost, pulled off an approach to turnaround and a warden busted him for shining for deer. Still in his tux, but had a coyote gun in the back. Warden said he was “sweeping the field with his headlights.”

Busted as in "gave him a ticket"? Busted meaning arrested? Or busted as in "wanted to talk to the guy in a tux for a few minutes to see if he was DUI and let him go with a warning?".

My in-laws have an 80Ac hobby farm in central MN. I swap to brights and sweep the field on both sides of the driveway every time I get there no matter what time of year, what season is on, and no matter whether I have a gun in the vehicle or not. I don't want to hit or even have a close call with a deer driving up the highway. Sometimes I'll stop w/the deer directly in the brights and honk the horn to get them to stay away.

Sounds a bit like they were set up specifically for this guy as they made mention of him shooting a big deer.

“You can’t stop and look at deer with a gun in the truck.” What?!? That’s crazy.

Next it will be illegal to stop and look at girls if you have a penis, they will charge you with attempted rape.
