    Public land transfer bill

No. I don’t support the boat ramp amphitheater project. If you had any reading comprehension, you’d see that Brockw didn’t either. He coordinated a meeting with between the city, developers and the public so fishermen at least had a chance to voice concern. The project was already moving forward...

Where the hell do you see me saying anything remotely close to that?

    Public land transfer bill

I don’t want to derail the thread, but I saw where Brock did the legwork to force the group wanting to close the ramp to meet the public (something nobody here bothered to do) and when presented with the situation at hand, is working to make sure there is still a access ramp in the city. Because...

    Public land transfer bill

Ok. Irrelevant to the conversation. The federal government spends more than $30 billion a year on ag subsidies.

Armstrong is no friend of North Dakota sportsmen (unless you're a billionaire hunting buddy). And if you think Armstrong Corp. isn't poised to profit off this move, I don't know what to tell you. Read Nick J. Simonson's article which shines some light on his record...

    Audubon

Hit Audubon out of Totten Trail. Got out a little late, it was already hot and hazy. Water temp 77. Not to mention almost glass. Pulled bottom bouncers with spinners and crawlers along weeds to find active fish. Caught a handful of eyes and perch all barely big enough to take the hook. Switched...

    Camping food

Lots of good ideas here. In addition… I love simplicity which can be hard with some partners. Life straw filter saves weight on packing H2O. Freeze dried fruit. Honey stinger bars. Peanut butter and jelly tortillas pack well and get better with age. Spam on a camp stove somehow tastes better...

    Michigan deer annoyance

Yet many here will gladly cede what we have left in the name of “not being a lib”. I wish average NDA member wasn’t so accurate.

    Michigan deer annoyance

Why everyone is against money being spent on “futile” CWD strategies but tout hiring Dr. Deer to take the reigns (who only charges $125,000-$175,000 from the state for his study/plan) is baffling. He seems to show up at legislative sessions where he’s paid by special interest groups to help...

    Can you say recession

Also, the truly wealthy aren't slumming it in campgrounds with the common folk. Or camping at all.

Fritz, you don’t give 2 shits about the wild deer herds anyway. Most here may disagree on the mechanics but they at least have the same goal in mind; more and heathy deer. This is tough. On the one hand I know it’s probably safe and there’s no evidence of crossover to humans. Yet I know my luck...

It does sort of connect the dots. Just look at who started the biggest fuss about all the CWD propaganda. Fish and wildlife departments never stood to raise any significant money from CWD control. In fact they lose money long term by lowering tag numbers. By and large it is not sportsmen leading...

    Bis to lose boat ramp

Terrible idea. Non-profit doesn’t mean nobody makes money. Maybe I can start a non-profit marina on corps land so I don’t have to eat the overhead, and give myself a salary of 90% of the income. When it becomes too much of an inconvenience to keep up I’ll let it rot. Again why should a private...

    Bis to lose boat ramp

How do you guys suggest public projects get funded? Roads, parks, water mains, any infrastructure? Does there need to be 100% taxpayer consensus or should it all be privately built and managed?

    Bis to lose boat ramp

Huh. I was under the impression BHA opposed the ramp removal hence why they were promoting the meeting. Both the amphitheater / hotel / beach / pier and the Mandan boat ramp seem like pipe dreams since the corps typically doesn’t allow you to build in their waterways.
