    zero turn recommendations

I have the snow blade instead of a snowblower…this was the first year in 12 that I wished I had a blower. The for wheel steer would be killer behind a snowblower…

    zero turn recommendations

I have a four wheel steer JDx534 with power steering and hydraulic lift, but no pto. Tried multiple zero turn but I have side slope that doesn’t work well with them…I can drive with one finger and hold a drink no prob. Also have a belt powered vac unit for the bagger…only way to go. Had a...

    Newbie on Missouri Bismarck

Steer well clear of rock jetties along the shore, some can extend quite a ways under the surface. Avoid turbulent areas with trees in the water. As said, bring waders and go upstream first couple times out. Go slower until you can learn to read the moving water. And watch for floating...

    Spring Snows 2023

Many years ago I shot a banded snow goose that had been banded as an adult 19 years prior to being shot....making it at least 20 years old...maybe that's why snows make better dog jerky than people food.

I have heard good things about the salt pucks...put em in a line so they melt a drainage channel off the roof ice

    Ice Dam

Judicious use of a hatchet worked for me in the thick ice 4-10”…just need to hit a couple well placed chops (only goes in the ice an inch or two) and it came in 1-2 liter-size chunks …but I’m a hatchet guy…

    Another winter storm

1979: Dad comes home from work: “How much did you kids make shoveling driveways today?” Kid: $1.75!! Dad:a $1.75?! How many did you shovel?” Kid: 4! We did ours and three others, but one lady gave us a 25 cent tip!” Dad:”make sure you give half to your little brother”

    Open water. Are you ready?

Missouri River is opening up north of town, just a couple channels at Misty Waters so far, but wider further north. I bet Fox Island ramp will be open within a week…but it’ll be a month before I can get the boat out of the yard!

    Sump pumps/pits, discharge hoses, etc.

I dug a 100’ long drainage path in the snow thru the yard to allow drainage to get away from the house. Took 5 days of shoveling! Bottom 8-12” was frozen slush…nearly wore out my spade shovel ( metal flexing)…thought I was gonna have to rent a jackhammer, Thanks for your heads up, i better...

    My first custom rifle

I shoot a Browning Abolt hunter in .280. 140 grain sierra's were my go-to deer load, cheap and effective. In my older age I want to be able to reach a bit further so I just loaded up a box of Hornandy ELDX 150 gr....haven't had a chance to chrono yet but should be about 2800 fps with my 22" 10:1...

    Your Most Expensive Fishing Rod

I've never tried building a rod, but have tried to fix quite a few. I have a St. Croix pack rod that was over $100, but otherwise like the value for dollar from Scheel's guide series and One series. My costliest rod is a St. Croix #8 fly rod (for walleyes and northerns) that was a bit over...

    Banks?

Nobody is saying it so I will: is the SVB depositors bailout more about appeasing California democrat voters than anything else? Would that bailout happen if it was in Florida?

Your dream machine or share what you got

My current dream machine is a Ford f-250 with 7.3 gas/10 speed Tremor edition, but currently drive a Ford f-250 with 6.2 gas/6 speed. I sold my former dream machine (2007 Shelby) to buy the F-250 when I retired. Previously had my first car for 25 years, 1967 Cougar; that was heavily...
