    Hunting Islands

Just like fishing Canadian border waters, you can fish in Ontario waters by accessing via boat, with an Ontario fishing license of course, but the minute you drop a physical anchor that touches mud, you have to have in your possession a remote area border crossing permit as you have now touched...

    Forward Sonar Mounting Set Up

Great topic! As a guy that uses his FFS sonar on almost every trip out, I would be very leery of using a ram mount to hold the pole in position. I would be afraid of the flex that will happen at the ball, the last thing a person wants is un-necessary angles being subjected to your transducer. At...

    Livescope Accessories

The original summit shuttle was solid for being 3d printed, it is the one Aaron is selling as I built it for him. I paid $119 for the shuttle originally and have no plans to switch away from mine.

    Livescope Accessories

There are a lot of different versions out there, so it really comes down to price point for the buyer. The upper-level leaders seem to be ArcLab and Summit (shuttle not pole). Summit used to build a 3d printed shuttle that I currently run and love it, and the price point was far better than the...

    New fishing gear

The move PV is available in 72", most comparable to the terrova, the scissor assist ZR like the ultrex is still the short guy unfortunately. I will be running a 72" move PV this season as well.

    Back Straps

Yep, gives the meat a good crust and a little char flavor. If you aren't cooking something as amazing as a backstrap, you can also put butter and seasonings in the bag with the meat, and oh man, is it so worth it. Pheasant breast with butter, ribeye's with garlic butter, damn, now I'm getting...

    Back Straps

for the revered backstraps, we have found the absolute best way to prepare them is to Sous Vide them @ 130 degrees for 2 hours and then sear on a hot grill before eating. It has provided some of the most tender meat I have ever eaten.

    Doggy Trots

Got a buddy dealing with diarrhea in one of his labs too, took her off the rawhides and she seems to be clearing up. Sucks that you can't even trust dog treats for reliability and quality anymore.

    Property Tax Credit

I had to make sure to put dashes between instead of the spaces as copied from my tax sheet. Got it entered and got a automated message saying they received it. Time will tell.

    Sak Sakakawe Walleye in December

Got out on Saturday 12/23/23 out of Ft Stevenson, no ice in sight as we left the ramp, ended up finding our fish out at the mouth of Douglas Bay, sitting in about 25' casting up the hill into the shallows and dragging it back. Surface temp was at about 39 degrees at its highest. It was a...

    Garrison bay ice fishing wtf

I would agree with huntnfish. Bay was wide open last night, quite a ways up into the arm as well. Looking at launching the boat there saturday morning if the ramp melted off today.

    Open Water Access on Sakakawea

Went across the bridge Saturday afternoon, the ramp at 4 Bears was white from the ice/snow mix we had gotten, so some sunlight or a heavy salting will be needed to make that useable. There was a bunch of slush pushed down from the NW winds that was all piled up on the east shore and about 1/3 of...
