    Spray foam insulation

I'm not sure any one type of insulation is the only way to go. A few years ago on a remodel the owners hired a firm to spray foam insulation. It was a new and "in the learning stage" of spraying insulation. When they finished and left we found many gaps that they appeared to think the expansion...

    Coolest TV characters ever

I thought I watched a lot of TV and I don’t remember at least half of those mentioned. Today he would be hung but I always got a laugh from Archie Bunker. That was back in the day when we didn’t take everything as the gospel and could laugh at dumb shit.

    Start carrying again

I don't agree with everything conservatives do or try to do. But so far you have avoided answering the question.

    Smoked Tomatoes

Have been smoking tomato for salsa for a few years. Adds a little I think When the salsa gets a little to watery I strain off the excess liquid and keep that for having a "Red Beer." Adds a better kick than just tomato juice.

So I went and did it

Have had mine for more than 10 years. No problems, gas is the only thing I've ever had to replace and an oil change every other year. Bought it for the grandkids and they have run it pretty good. I agree that they can be a pita. That is until you get on one and then they're a hell of a lot of...

    Lures Catch Fishermen

Was fishing a lake many years ago that was loaded with 20 inch pike. Couldn't keep them off the hook. Had a tackle box decoration in the form of a shapely woman, naked as I recall and it actually had hooks attached. It caught fish as good as any other hook we tried.

    New Knee

Agree with above comments. I have good knees so far, knock on wood. but my wife had both of hers replaced at Bone & Joint by Carlson with great results. Agree that therapy, pre-op and post-op, is most important to good results.

    Tennis elbow and fishing

Had a bad elbow several years ago and tried several different remedies. Finally got talked into elastic bands with copper disks inside. Thought it was some sort of witchcraft but damned if it didn't work. Wore it all day long and in about a month pain was gone and hasn't come back. Have read...

    Spring Snows 2023

Traveling back to ND on Thursday, just south of Sioux Falls I saw what I am sure was the largest bunch, flock, group, or whatever is the proper term of snow geese that I have ever seen. Been hunting geese for 60 years and have never seen that big of a group.

    Throwback Pike

Not an expert but pretty sure in order to be record size is also determined by spawned or not. Many years ago was fishing in northern Canada and my grandfather caught 2 big pike (big as in long.} Fish measured 39" and 39 1/2". Big old bellies were empty and weights were 12# and 12 1/2#. Normally...

    Sak West End

Never smoked a tullibee, have never actually caught one to smoke, but other oily fish Have caught have all been very good smoked. Seems like the oil flesh keeps the smoked fish more moist and tender..

    Elk Massacres

    XL vs XLT?

No where close to $7500. Signed first contract for $6300 and thought I would have all kinds of money. Then I had to start paying my own rent, own insurance, all the things required to live it seems. Was going to college and costing me maybe $3000/year. Living in dorm and eating in food service...

    XL vs XLT?

I sometimes wonder how much I'll pay for my last vehicles. Sticker price currently is above the $50K for both my pickup and wife's vehicle. Bought my first new car when I graduated from college in 1972 for $3200. Price on every vehicle since then has been higher than the previous cost. It's the...

    XL vs XLT?

Don't drive Fords so don't know a lot about the difference between XL and XLT. But here is my take on upgrades to vehicles and I'm sure every company is similar. When I was a young lad and starting to drive, air conditioning was not common, especially in pickups. But once you had it I'm guessing...
