    Tar remover

Solvent will take it off. If you don't have access to solvent, use diesel fuel or a cleaner called Super Clean (made by castrol in a purple bottle, sold everywhere)

    Boat Insurance

Just wondering how many of you carry boat insurance, and how much you have your boats insured for. What's your boat worth, extra tackle and gear, motors, trailer, etc. My last boat was worth about $10k and I had a total of $12k of coverage, with electronics and tackle. Is that enough/too much...

    Drift bag that isn't garbage?

I can't remember for sure, but I thought there was someone local that made them for Dakota Tackle? I know he sells some other brands besides the lindy bags as well, but not 100% sure.

    Another grill recommendatiion thread!

I'm also a Weber guy. Have a 2002 Genesis Platinum that "didn't heat up," spent 50 bucks on burners and now it works awesome. Also have a Q220 that I take fishing and camping, and use for hotdogs or hamburgers at home, and then a 22.5" Silver charcoal grill that i picked up at a garage sale...

    New Truck Gear

We use the Leer brand for most of our work trucks. Mine is a Century. My next one will have the side opening windows as well as the rear. Couldn't tell you cost, my pickup came with one. I would imagine a new fiberglass one is about $1,000. Most of the camper places have them or can order them...

    New Truck Gear

I must have a topper! some say they're ugly, I say functional. Lock up everything you have! I keep 2-25' tow ropes, a set of tools (sockets, wrenches, pliers, duct tape, etc), a small 12v wiring kit, tie down straps, an extra hitch, a couple extra hitch pins, bottle jack, tire iron, small...

    Prop Selection

Give Bismarck prop works a call, he has more information than most of us here. My guess would be try a three blade aluminum 13p and see where that takes you. If it takes you a long time to get up on plane then you went to aggressive and should go back to an 11p. Diameter will make some...

planting grass.... this is awesome... not

yep, what johnr said. Keep it damp for the first couple weeks, but don't bother putting fertilizer down until you are closer to mowing it. Rule of thumb for fertilizing - once in may (memorial day) and once in the fall (labor day or after). This will give the grass enough nutrients to make it...

    fillet knife

I typically use the rapala electric knife, but I do have one of these I carry with me. I use it more for de-boning deer than I do to clean fish. https://www.cutco.com/products/product.jsp?item=fishermans-solution#sm.000wppil6154uen4xkl16ma90a7ki

2016 Tracker Pro Guide V-16 SC

Yup.. I put plenty of scratches in my first one. Plus, when you have boat that is already beat up, you don't mind doing a little carp shooting out of it, one thing I miss for sure.

2016 Tracker Pro Guide V-16 SC

One of my friends has a 2012 or 13 targa 18V, with a 115 merc 4stroke. It seemed a little under powered for the size of the boat, but he put the appropriate prop on it and a hydrofoil and now is seems alright. As far as i know they haven't had any problems with it. Fishes 3 people really well...

    Hydrofoils

They do slow you down, but for i really like being able to be on plane at 10-15 MPH, especially when running the river for the first time in the spring. Even more so in a tiller, so you can see where you are going. Every boat i've had, I put a foil on it for that reason, but i'm not a speed demon.

    Need car tires

Just looked up the same size hankook from discount direct, it's 90 bucks a tire on their website, plus then you have to find someone to mount and balance them for you. You can get the cooper rebates from local dealers as well.
