I use Andy's "Red" seasoning for fish, then they have a cornmeal mix that I use for deer.

    Owning multiple vehicles

We have three vehicles at home. My wife drives the Maxima, I drive the Olds Alero to work and the pickup gets used for fishing, hunting and menards trips. All of them are paid for. Pickup has 208K, Alero has 148K and the Maxima has 120K. All are still going strong, but it was a rough year for...

    Olympics

I agree. I've never been a huge fan of wrestling but like you said, it's an original event. There are a lot of people that wrestle in highschool and college, you'd think it would have just as big of following as the throws events of T&F.

    Olympics

The throwing events have been a favorite for me as well. Didn't they get rid of wrestling the last olympic games, due to lack of interest? I'm glad it's back

    No Wounded Game Initiative

Don't have the time to bowhunt for deer anymore, but I have shot 20 striped gophers with the bow this year. I'd say it's good practice

    keeping fish alive in summer?

If i plan on being out for a long time i will pack a cooler with ice or frozen milk jugs in the boat, then just put all the fish in there as you catch them. I don't put any water in the cooler with the ice jugs, as it just thaws the ice faster.

    Gulp minnows

I used to use gulp all the time, but for the reasons Duckslayer and JB mentioned, not as much anymore. I still have some, but tend to buy the bagged gulp rather than the containers. I would say it's about the same effectiveness as powerbait or walleye assassins.

    Bunk slides?

Thanks for the clarification. It was just a thought that came to mind. I'm guessing that when guys replace their bunks with wood, they don't use green treat? or because it has carpet of the board does it matter?

    Bunk slides?

Is there a difference between the ultimate bunk boards, and composite decking material that you can buy at menards? It seems like if you wanted the supreme model, you could add a couple pieces of angle aluminum (or steel) to the material...

Hiding Purchases From Your Significant Other

My wife and I have joint accounts, checking and 2 savings. Our rule is, if it's under 50 bucks, go buy it. If it's over 50, lets discuss and find out if we need it. Good example of this is a month ago i wired up my boat and spent about 80 bucks on wire, connectors, solder, etc. It was a simple...

    New boat, looking for input

Yes, "Wetliner" is because of the ride. I went from a yarcraft 1785 with an extremely dry ride to my lund pro angler 16. I know the ride is worse and i will get wet from spray, but I wanted to get back into a tiller. FYI I had a 140 suzuki on my yarcraft, that motor was awesome. But - get the...

    New boat, looking for input

Go with the yamaha or suzuki motor if you can find them. heard good things from the triton and i've fished out of several stratos's and they fish well. Also fished out of alumcraft 185's and they are good. I personally wouldn't buy a wetliner. the glass boats will be a drier and smoother ride...
