    I have yet to be out with the big boat, but have done some shore fishing. It is looking like I will be on the water this weekend, though. I'm guessing a lot of people will be on the water for the first time, this weekend.

    I have been going through my rods/reels, reorganizing my tackle, then reorganizing it again, buying way more gear/tackle than I really need, looking through lake maps and dropping waypoints, and on and on. I have yet to get the boat out and wash it, though. That is on the short list, however...

    Tough to beat the combo of side imaging and forward facing technology. That being said, I have a sneaking suspicion that 'Bird ends up coming out with a Mega Live 2.0. They are clearly in 3rd place, in the forward facing tech race, and I cannot see them being okay with that. I could be wrong...

    How popular is the Bassmasters around here? I thought I read that they had a crowd of 175,000? That is crazy! I almost feel like I should get into it even though I am not much of a bass guy.

    I had to add an in-hull ducer and split it in with a Y cable on my birds in order to get high speed readings, but now I can get readings up to about 50 mph.

    Stratos Boats

    IMO that is the type of boat to go for these days. The 386xf and 326xf are both nice boats. The new Triton 18.5' boats use the same hull as the Stratos 386xf. It's the same exact boat, pretty much.
