    I jetski'd in the tailrace in April when I was 16. Old school stand up/kneel down type ski.... IDIOT. My brother has also scuba-dove there as well. He told me there are some scary huge sturgen and cats around the boulders. Not an area to be taken lightly doing anything, even shore fishing.

    Both, definately both. I run Helix 9's. The side imaging is amazing. I never knew how useful it could be if utilized properly. Down imaging stacked with the old style 2d sonar is a great tool that "teaches" each day out.

    I bought some at Dakota Tackle 2 or 3 weeks ago and have been using them alot. They have out-performed basic jig/plastic combo casting and popping back, but not out performed jigging raps vertically. I feel they are worth the investment.

    Trim tabs have been given a poor name by 1 boat manufacturer. Truth be told all boats could benefit from them; but the 1 mfg has had to put them on due to poor performance which, IMHO, has hurt their use on other boat lines. To the OP. Jackplates will likely not give you 4+ mph improvement...

    Yetti contracts with an individual in Wisconsin that will finish off the interiors. You can be as basic or elaborate as you would like. They can also be ordered bare bones to be finished yourself. Id advise you to call North Country for some details.

    Yetti through North Country in Garrison. They have a few hold-overs and are an amazing company to work with. Customer service after the sale is nearly as important as the product you are purchasing....they cant be beat in this category. Yetti puts out a great product.

    A buddy and I both have the new generation. It has made for some fun BS time jigging about 10 feet apart. Also it is easier to pass beer from boat to boat when you can spot lock close.... The 1st gen does keep a few "ticks" away.

    The NEW Terrova is night and day with the spot lock. I called the 1st generation "vicinity lock". This new version blows the 1st gen away!!!

    I have heard great reports from the Ulterra. Gen 2 has the updated spotlock with is fantastic compared to the 1st gen. I have the new generation Terrova with lift assist and the compass puck and my boat sticks in spot lock. A HUGE improvement!!

    Try and find old Lakemaster chips that will work with your untis. I'd spend quite a bit of coin if necessary. I have 2 old chips for ND/SD and they will have to be pried from my cold dead hands.
