Anti Mouse baits for RVs / Boats

I use mothballs and fresh cab in every cubby and several on the floor. I even started putting the stuff under the motor cowling as that cost me $500 one spring.

    Boat Winterizing

I ran my boat yesterday with some seafoam. Later today, I'll change the lower unit oil and engine oil. All grease zerks will get a few pumps of marine grade grease. Each cubby will have some fresh cab. Engine will be fogged and the charger will be plugged in a few times over the winter. I'll...

    Things that annoy you?

Highway Patrol driving 5-10mph under the speed limit on a two lane road and the convoy behind them afraid to pass (I will pass the officer).

    Kicker advice?

I run a 9.9 Merc kicker. Usually sit on the livewell and adjust the speed by turning. I have my bowmount down and steer with the Terrova. It's really nice to set the autopilot when fighting a fish and concentrating on that. Trollmasters are nice, but not needed. You can tweek your speed some...

    Weather 2020

We had almost 0.75 inches of rain in Dickinson and gusts up to 54mph. The wind moved my grill to the far side of my deck. The white combine was out last weekend. Below is a pic of some research plots 15 miles south of Dickinson. A pea field across the road was leveled flat.

    Installing rod guides

I like forecast guides because the feet are already ground and they have good ceramic inserts. The mudhole turners work fine. I have the 9rpm and two other turners (1 is home built from a small motor from Mac's hardware. For rod wrapping, Take a cardboard box and cut out supports for the rod...

    Killing grass for food plot

Glyphosate needs to be laced with ammonium sulfate (AMS). This greatly improves plant uptake of the product. NDSU has the Crop Pest Management App loaded with all sorts of info. There is also the NDSU Weed Control Guide (https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/weeds/weed-control-guides/nd-weed-control-guide-1)

    New boat

When it comes to fishability, a Lund Pro-V is tough to beat. When it comes to the hull, Yar-Craft is the way to go. I love my 209, there are a few tweaks I wish the engineers would make to the cap. Fishability is good, just a few things I'd change. The new 219 had made a majority of the changes...

    Walk behind mowers

I have a no-choke/1 pull start Craftsman push mower. It takes a few pulls to start in the spring, but once the summer is going, it's one pull and away I go 95%+ of the year. Mine is eight years old. With the annual oil/spark plug change its been great...
