    But the intensity of the rut has a LOT to do with the weather. 70 degree temps in mid November vs. 20 degree temps in mid November are opposite ends of the spectrum.

    Oh my… that would ruin a guys day. My niece has a similar lab, and it ripped to SHREDS a beautiful velvet antlered whitetail mount the day her boyfriend brought it home. They left the lab and the deer mount on the floor together for 10 minutes and that was all she wrote.
