Shooting a scene. Shooting right at the person holding the camera to get the “looking down the barrel shot” or whatever…shot her right in the chest. Went through her and hit the guy behind her also.
There is a lot we don’t know about this incident but I know two things:
1) People who don’t know anything about guns or gun safety should not hold a gun (unless during the act of actually training them). This is an absolute tragedy that instantly removed someone’s wife/mother/daughter from this...
Gun safety rule #1: Never point a gun at anything you aren’t willing to kill. Bad things can happen if you don’t ALWAYS have that muzzle pointed in a safe direction. Being on a movie set doesn’t change that. Neither does using a gun you think is unloaded or loaded with a blank round.
These are both non-mallard late October ND birds. Don’t shoot a lot of them like this but most years there are a few hanging around late enough to be fully plumed.
Mid 20s coming this week, which will end this but man oh man, it will have come too late for many areas. Some places were WIPED out from what I’ve heard, and the farmers combining row crops tell stories of mass die offs.
After reading the story, I can tell KDM has been through a lot of what I have over the past 30 years both after my own shots or the shots of others…and I’m sure you can add a decade or three of experience on to that. You learn a lot after making mistakes after the shot and you add It all up over...
You have got to be shitting me. As much as I was hoping to hear the story end like this…after bow hunting for 30 years I didn’t expect it! GREAT JOB!!!
Im going to crack a Busch Light right now to celebrate!!!!
KDM and Logan, good luck! Regardless of the outcome this hunt has already been a tremendous success.
Take some pics, leave those keys by the vehicle somewhere, and keep a metal detector handy!
This has been pretty sweet just watching this process unfold. A lot faith in humanity gets restored...
Looks like lead shot gives a guy the best bang for his buck for ducks and geese!!!

In all honesty, and I truly am not trying to call anyone out for their hunting practices or their equipment choices, but this is a very similar debate that I see among bow hunters when...
PG, please tell me that is a photoshopped image and there really are not stickers like that at a gas pump, because if there are stickers like that it means there was a reason for stickers like that.
Well, I can’t argue with your last sentence, but if I spent $32 or $37 a box on waterfowl shells I’d have to limit too much of the dumb shit I do. I’m not willing to do that!
I shoot steel #2’s for geese and #4’s for ducks that are $12 to $15 a box and I don’t miss much, which is how I can afford to remain frugal. For me, It has a lot to do with shot selection and decoying them in close. The blue box specials knock em right down when they are within blue box special...
Par for the course when a bunch of bizarre flaming Libs are perpetually celebrated day in and day out as they drive everything that was once good right into the dirt.
