    Berkley Slow Death Hooks

    I use the soft plastic crawlers for the slow death hooks and have not seen ANY less bites. Plus, it stays on the hook much better and lasts WAY longer than a real crawler. They do make the shorter ones for this but I usually put a whole one on the hook and clip off the excess.

    It's funny with all the time and gas money I have spent looking for these little bastards it would be cheaper for me to just buy a bunch online. I still have dreams of mother loads which keeps me going! Haha. I've seen pics of people literally finding like 100 on a single tree....some day

    It's really impossible to not have ticks along with Morel hunting in my experience. Permethrin is a life saver. Coat boots, socks, pants, shirt and gear. I've been in the woods many hours this spring and have had 1 attached tick.

    Yeah drying is the best IMO. Have to be careful with a dehydrator that it doesn't get too hot and cook them. I usually lay them on a screen and have a fan blowing on them for a couple days. Then I'll turn my oven on lowest temp and put the dried morels in there with the door open for about...

    Yeah depends what you're trying to catch really...the Red is full of nice cats that are a blast. Brewer is somewhat close. Otherwise it's Valley City area or Detroit Lakes area in MN has endless options
