Way to keep your cool. If you were outside of 100ft (I assume they put that sign there for the shore fishermen), I would have called the warden for sure.
That hand position is not correct for a thumb release though...index finger should be under the jaw bone. The d loops also has to be tied on correctly so the knots have less torque....watch John Dudley's videos for real

I think they give a cleaner break, also resulting in less torque. My brother just got a Spot-Hogg Wiseguy and he says his groups have really tightened up at longer ranges.
Hope to find some dove flying around. May sit in the stand a while if the trail cam shows promise. Or, if we find a field of geese will do that. Some walleyes for dinner maybe. Should be a good weekend!
