    130-year-old shipwreck in North Dakota visible due to drought

    We were on river kayaking on Wednesday and stopped to take a look at the Abner O'Neal. It is impressive to see after all the years submerged. Kids and G Kids have been doing research on the history of the vessel. Interesting story.

    Were trying to hook a Chinook this past weekend and the Fish Hawk was still showing a temp change / thermocline around 78 FOW straight out from Government Bay. Also clouds of bait at that depth so I am guessing the lake has not turned over.

    Fairly easy to do. Cork rings or handles are available from several sources with Mudhole in Florida ( www.mudhole.com ) having the most options. Have changed cork handles on several rods and can be done in couple of hours by carefully removing the old cork and then epoxying on the new handle...

    Ice Fishing Is Over

    We were at Rivers Bend LOTW about a week ago. Ice was fine then but fishing for use (and everyone around us) was slow. Fished in 30 FOW and most of the eyes were on the small side.
