    Another mechanic question

Our son has a 2015 F150 Eco-Boost that has a leak in the timing chain housing. He took it to the dealership to get an estimate for repair and was quoted ~$1900. Any suggestions on certified mechanics in the BisMan area? Would just as soon support a small business if the quality of the repair...

    Drotto boat trailer latch

Put one on my 386 Stratos last spring. I fish a fair amount by myself on the river. Best $$ I have spent! Now if I can teach my wife to back the trailer in, will have it made.

We have a Generac Guardian 24 KV at farm. Runs on LP. Fortunately we have never had to rely on it for extended periods of time. Very happy with it so far. We also have an 8 kv champion duel fuel that is portable. Great little portable power source. I only use LP and have never filled the...

    Oak Flooring Question

Renovated a lake cabin several years ago that was built in 1952 and discovered maple hardwood flooring when the carpet was removed. Similar dimensions as noted above. It was tongue and groove. Rented a sander and refinished the hardwood. We did have to repair a couple of boards. I used a...

    Kids ATV recommendations

Have been looking for a used Ranger 150, etc. for several months. Agree with previous comments that they hold their value for several years. Looked at a 5 year old 150 in good condition and it sold for $3900 within days of being listed.

    Head Lamp for Christmas

Great thread! Also use a Nebo. Getting our 7 grand-kids head-lamps for Christmas stocking stuffers as all enjoy our great outdoors. The Energizer headlamp that goes for about $10 is the one I am looking at unless there are better options for $20 or less.

    Outboard engine oil suggestions

Getting ready to winterize our boats. Have used Quicksilver 10-30 in my 2015 Mercury Four Stroke since new. Wondering if anyone uses synthetic engine oil in their Merc four strokes. Have used synthetic oil in vehicles for years without issue. Same question for lower unit gear lube? Thanks!!

    Elevated blinds... worth the hassle?

Son, son-in-law, and I recently built an elevated blind base. Plywood and dimensional lumber were a bit of a sticker shock. Now trying to decide whether to build the blind or purchase a shell blind ready-to-use. Guessing lumber and hardware would come relatively close to cost of a mid-range...

    Backpack leaf blower

Have the BR 600 Mag. Between home with 2 acres as well as farm, ours gets a lot of use/abuse. Been very happy with Stihl products including blower, chain saw, and weed wacker. Quality products IMO.
