    Dog training/trainers~

Have had 3 Wirehair's over the past years. The first and second I trained myself. Both were great companions and fantastic in the field! Current GWP spent 8 weeks with a trainer and I joined the dog & trainer at least once or twice each week. Results were much the same. The reason we went...

    April Blizzard Predicted next week

Just returned from running an errand and some of the streets in Bis are getting heavy with snow over ice. Live on the Missouri and about 10 this morning we could not see the river let alone see across to Mandan. Most certainly going to take a toll on wildlife in this part of the state.

    Old age sore joints

Life sometimes takes a toll... Many of the same activities noted above in my earlier years. Started taking turmeric about 2 yr ago. My research suggested to increase black pepper intake when using it. As a retired drug pusher, I was somewhat skeptical. After about 4 weeks I noticed...

    Kayak question

We have several Wilderness System kayaks. We have both single and tandem models. They are moderately priced and have served our family well over the past several years. We also prefer sit-in rather than sit-on for river and lake kayaking. Great family sport!!

    Cost of owning stuff

Tend to agree with renting. We looked at several class C motorhomes last summer. Didn't like the prices I was seeing. We have a couple of extended weekend outings planned and are renting a camper for reasons stated above.

    Boat windshield cover

Use the Truxedo and it works great! I also checked out the Flack jacket and it was about $100 more if I recall.

    two years

Great thread! Retired 5 years ago at 63. Concern at that time was how I would stay engaged physically & mentally. Not a problem! Manage to stay busy every day generally in the great outdoors - with g kids and doing some volunteering. I have recently located my grandfather's 49 Studebaker...

    Sippin whiskey

While not a fan of scotch whiskey, I was invited to a scotch tasting event couple of years ago. Bottles were masked and participants were asked to sample and vote. Don't recall the winner but Macallan 18 Single Malt was a close second. Crown XO for me. Cheers!

    Shop/man cave project

Last fall I requested proposals from two stick built (2 x 6 construction) and also Morton Building and Eagle Rigid Span. Surprisingly to me they were all within 10%. I plan on doing the partitioning and finishing of heated shop myself and would expect that stick build may be easier to finish...

    Shop/man cave project

Planning on having a shop built this spring if material costs stabilize. Trying to decide between a traditional stick built structure vs a Morton Building / Eagle Rigid Span style building. Looking at 42 x 64 that will provide space for a heated workshop and the balance being cold storage for...

    Spreadsheet question

I have used Excel as well for organizing a coin collection. Found it helpful to have columns for mint location (D, etc.) as well as general condition. I organized a coin collection that I had received from a family member. I sort the list by coin type/ denomination. Have found it helpful when...
