    Crossbow?? What next.

I'm scheduled to have my neck fused in December. Does this mean I won't be able to shoot a rifle or my crossbow that I just purchased last month?

    #11 Percussion Caps

I've heard that the black powder substitutes (Pyrodex, Triple 7) are harder to ignite than regular black powder, thus the need for magnum primers. Will see. Have a friend picking some up from Scheels in Minnesota.

    #11 Percussion Caps

No you can't. Pickup at another Scheels store only. I think the closest was Mankato or something.

    #11 Percussion Caps

Was wondering if anyone would know where a guy could find some percussion caps for a side lock muzzleloader. I checked all the gun shops in Bismarck Mandan. Am looking for some Winchester Magnum #11's. I have some regular CCI's but I remember having a lot of misfires with those. Haven't shot...

    Blackhorn 209

I think I paid a hundred and fifty from Cabela's for my CVA Wolf 12 years ago. They're 300 now according to CVA's website.

    Blackhorn 209

I found out that CVA makes a special breech plug that you can get to shoot Blackhorn 209 in their Wolf muzzleloader. Problem is, they don't make one for 2011 and older Wolf rifles like mine. I don't recall ever having a misfire when I was using Blackhorn before.

    Blackhorn 209

Scheels has some for 70. That's quite a deal.

    Blackhorn 209

Just found out my favorite propellant is 80 bucks for 8 oz now. Haven't shot my muzzleloaders for awhile. I guess that's what happens when you wait 11 years for a tag.

    Muzzleloader Deer Season

So it took me 11 years, but I finally got drawn for a buck. I haven't shot my muzzleloaders in probably 12, so I'm reading the manuals and going online for information. I have a Traditions percussion and a CVA Wolf inline. I was looking at the proclamation on muzzleloaders, but I couldn't...

    Live well leak

Have an older Lund boat that seems to be taking on a lot of water in the hull lately. There's a couple of drain holes on each side of the boat that are hooked up to the live well. I have a bilge pump in the the stern as well as one for the live well, so I was thinking about plugging those...

    Minnkota Trolling Motor

I think I want a new outboard now. Was looking at a Mercury 60 HP 4 stroke for about 10 grand. Have a 50 hp 2 stroke on it now. The 4 stroke would be about 70 pounds heavier. Not sure if 10 HP more would increase the speed of the boat. Top speed is about 25 mph now.

    Lithium Battery for Trolling Motor

Yes. Exactly. Mine lasted 4 hours the other day on Sacajawea. Was constantly trolling. When I got home, I put the volt meter on it and it read 11.5 volts which is completely dead. I put my 20 amp lithium charger on it and it only took 1.5 hours to get it back up to 13.5 volts, which is a...

    Minnkota Trolling Motor

Well I went and bought a new Minnkota Power Drive 55 lb thrust motor at Scheels. Came with an on board battery charger. When I was taking the wiring harness apart to put on the new motor, I noticed the negative lead was a little loose. Put some alligator clips directly on the wires and it...

Don't have room up front for 2 batteries.

    Minnkota Trolling Motor

It's completely dead. Tried cleaning the battery connections and bought a new fuse for it. Nothing. It's a 2006 model. Time for a new one.

    Minnkota Trolling Motor

According to this bloke, you're not suppose to wrap the cord around the foot pedal when you store it. I've been doing this for years.

    Minnkota Trolling Motor

Was out this weekend and I noticed that I couldn't steer my older Minnkota Power Drive trolling motor with the foot pedal. It would still throttle up though, but I had to turn the motor by hand if I want to go in a certain direction. Do you think it could be the foot pedal or the power board...

    Winter kill

Was out at Crystal Springs last weekend but didn't see any floating around the boat dock. It's one of the lakes that was suspected of winter kill.
