30 to 40 mph..there are some big fish very close by In that area. The wind forced a few guys to fish closer to the marina no doubt. I know of 3 boats that had damage. Crashed in windshield from spearing, kicker tearing loose and a smoked lower unit. Scariest day I have fished. One mistake and...

Ft Stevenson AIM was won near the ramp last June. There were a few other finishers in the top 10 that were near in sight of the ramp. That one, you do not need a big fast boat. Pretty good fishing within a mile of start

    MEGA Imaging

I would think they would. But I've read that a couple of times on WC. Some guys were comparing the big 3 for down scan and side scan. Supposedly hummingbird and lowrance use related systems although not exactly the same. Garmin uses something else

    MEGA Imaging

I have heard before that the hummingbird side scan is better than lowrance and the down scan is better on a Lowrance. Might be true. I know my down scan on the HDSunits was really good last year. Could pick out fish around breaking structure, weeds, trees etc that were just blobs on 2D

    Jig weight vrs bb weight

If conditions permit I love 1/8 ounce jigs at that 2 to 8 feet maybe 10 feet range for jigging. 4 pound ultrathin mono or 6 pound nano tough to beat..something about that thump on light jigs. get into current, deeper water, heavier wind etc. I'll go up to 1/4 or maybe up to 5/8 ounce jig if...
