    DO NOT DRIVE UNDER THE BRIDGE. You can get on the lake infront of the bar or possibly straight across the lake from the bar by taking the trail off the hwy. As for the fishing, it's late January on Ashtabula, it's not very good.

    I checked ice up by Sibley on Wednesday morning. Most ice was 20 inches, under drifts was 15-16. Vehicles were driving all over by sundstrom's and the crossing going south.

    Go to Perch/Walleye lures

    I usually start out with a chubby darter when fishing walleyes, and usually a slender spoon or buckshot on the other rod if fish won't hit the darter. When fishing for perch I usually start with a buckshot and have a tungsten jig with spikes ready if fish won't hit the spoon.

    Checked ice today in the derby area. Most of the ice was 20-21 inches. There were spots that were 15-16 under some of the snow drifts. The ice closer to the buoy by the bridges was around 13 inches.
