    Actually, in this case, the G and F didn't make this decision. They actually stated they wouldn't cancel the permit. This was a decision made by the tournament committee and people are pissed! I am one of the people not happy about it. I look forward to this event every year.

    Depends on time of year, but prefer to pitch jigs on the river in spring, crank all summer and fall. The only time I really want to put the cranks away in the fall is for the jig rap bite. But overall for me, it's hard to beat cranking and catching fish after fish and hearing the clicker go...

    I totally agree with this. I was one of the boats fishing right in front of the ramp at Hazelton and I found all of my interactions with people at the ramp and on the water to be pleasant.

    Funny you bring this up. After breaking another Ego slider( 2nd one in two years), I got a recommendation to look into the Beckmann nets. Just picked on up and really like the construction of it. Seems like a more solid net and isn't supper heavy like those RS Nets.

    I bought those Duracell AGM a couple weeks ago and have only been out once, but so far so good. I've heard great things about these batteries so can't wait to see what they can do on the lake this summer running the trolling motor all day.

    ^^^^ This! Unless you run a tiller, steering with the trolling motor while pulling cranks is the cats A**. You can steer faster, more precise and also use the trolling motor to fine tune the speed.
